ABOUT ‘GENDER HEALTH CARE’
We are a dedicated service operated by a caring professional team, with real lived experience, catering for the needs of gender questioning people (Transgender) providing a safeguarding service, we assist with life admin, injections and blood sampling. At Gender Health Care we provide information and training to other medical professionals and groups, on all aspects of inclusion and details around the health needs of transitioning patients, from how to ensure patient safety and confidence to the equalities legislation.
At all times we maintain high standards of patient care and safety, we follow current best practice in transgender care and are registered with the appropriate bodies where that is required.
As Specialist nurses and Health/Social care workers we have worked in gender healthcare. We recognize the difficulties transgender, non-binary and gender questioning people face when trying to access quality healthcare in a timely manner. Our combined experience has given us a unique insight into the health needs of a group who are currently being let down.
We want to provide a bespoke, affordable, and trustworthy service that will allow people to talk through their health concerns and be cared for, wherever they are on their journey. We can help with blood testing and injections and give individual advice on transition and medication.
We expect our service to grow naturally over time and would welcome feedback or suggestions from the community, to help make what can be a lonely time, a little easier.
Full membership of WPATH and EPATH is maintained and we follow WPATH standards of care for transgender health.
We are also members of BAGIS (British Association of Gender Identity Specialists) providing a voice on behalf of UK families dealing with gender non-conformity.
