Medication administration policy extract

Please note
we will only administer legally obtained prescribed medication, which must clearly show the patients name and details on the prescription label, and photographic ID must be available for the clinician to check, It is the patient or their guardian's responsibility to adhere to the above and the clinicians responsibility to check and verify correct medication, for correct patient at the correct time, before admin of medication is undertaken as per GHC Ltd policy, training and following current legislation and best practice UK.
As Specialist nurses and Health/Social care workers we have worked in gender healthcare. We recognize the difficulties transgender, non-binary and gender questioning people face when trying to access quality healthcare in a timely manner. Our combined experience has given us a unique insight into the health needs of a group who are currently being let down.

We want to provide a bespoke, affordable, and trustworthy service that will allow people to talk through their health concerns and be cared for, wherever they are on their journey. We can help with blood testing and injections and give individual advice on transition and medication.

We expect our service to grow naturally over time and would welcome feedback or suggestions from the community, to help make what can be a lonely time, a little easier.

Full membership of WPATH and EPATH is maintained and we follow WPATH standards of care for transgender health.

We are also members of BAGIS (British Association of Gender Identity Specialists) providing a voice on behalf of UK families dealing with gender non-conformity.
